Higher-level participation such as international events carries greater weightage than state or university level representation.
  2. Stage 2 — Field Trial / Sports Skill Test (50 Marks): Shortlisted candidates participate in a live field trial in their respective sports disciplines. The trial evaluates current playing ability and fitness. The total of Stage 1 and Stage 2 forms the basis of merit ranking.
  3. Stage 3 — Physical Standards Test (PST) & Document Verification (DV): Candidates must meet the prescribed height, weight, and chest measurements as per SSB norms. All original educational and sports achievement certificates are verified at this stage.
  4. Stage 4 — Medical Examination (ME): All candidates who clear PST and DV undergo a detailed medical examination as per Central Armed Police Force health standards. Final appointment is subject to medical fitness clearance.
